Seeking your inner warrior

Seeking your inner warrior Life has a special way of teaching each of us what we are capable of, even the easiest destiny is laced with lessons, the choice is ours, are we able to decode the lessons, or are we so immersed in what is happening to us that we lose sight of the fact that, things may be happening for us.   This article is a collection of my thoughts to help us understand grief, experience its magic, and elevate to a place where you foster joy through your pain and optimize your life’s potential. The storm of grief breaks the door down on its way in, it leaves no room for process or action.   It does not care for your feelings, it is the only truth in the moment, loss, peril and an empty chested sigh of pain.  Grief consumes us but if you break down the emotion, the onset of grief is caused by the shattering of ones own expectations, a disruption to what we consider to be a state of happiness. If the first moment of grief can be lived in slow motion, you will realize t
E-Go away - break the ego barrier The human depth is an abyss, our drive to seek new experiences directly influences our growth.  Seeking can happen in many ways, stepping out of your comfort, entertaining foreign thoughts, places and experiences in pursuit of expansion are all the ways one can seek to grow. The trigger has many a catalyst through life's journey, extreme emotions triggered by grief, loss, elation are all ways to expand our perspective, and yet, we see so many people set in their ways, despite the opportunities presented by life there is a lack of inquisitiveness to grow. in my opinion, egotism, inflating the sense of self. Egotism keeps us comfortable, it organizes a cozy status quo inside the mental frameworks to help forward our actions in routine setting. It prevents taking a pause to challenge commonplace responses, and uses defensiveness to limit growth.   Human beings develop a sense of self at an early age and it is colored by our environment.  We

My Mind's playground

Have you ever thought of your mind as a playground? Happiness and sorrow stand in as the seesaw, swings belong to Mood & Co.? Here, you aim to keep in balance, by staying centered. The way up to a goal is always longer and harder, than the achievement itself. You may aim and shoot and yet not score, you must try again. Sounds like so many life lessons along with the laws of gravity and integrity, can be learned by time spent at the playground and can be harnessed in ones adult life, where the playground becomes cerebral. When you play in the mind's playground, lessons are learned and tested by the most talented teacher called Life. Life balances these tests as it takes us from youth into age and gives us seasons, nature and the power to experience. In order to allow for a full set of learning life allows for the test to present itself, to create an ebb and flow of happiness and sorrow. Life then steps in to lend a hand by creating movement catered by time. Time, the bri

Maximize your parenting potential by being a lifelong learner.

I started to assess my life as a parent and the overall parenting paradigm which is so heavily based on love, sacrifice, giving and nurturing. I love being a parent, my greatest accomplishment, however what was eye opening was the one dimensional giving. As a parent we are so motivated to give to the offspring that we often forget about the 'Self' that allows for all that giving to be possible. Most parents spend a lot of time guiding children and making plans for what they should do next to carefully craft a well defined future. We enroll them in classes, we train them on so many life skills, we open their mind and help balance a point of view that will allow for far reaching success. Although financial stability is very important, and may be a prime focus for many, my question is where and when possible, why as a parent do we have the tendency to be just a teacher to our children?  As a parent who is also a teacher, teaching their child to be more and do more, why are

Empowerment or I am POWER meant

Do you ever sit still and wait for things to happen, sometimes we create efforts that lead to action, and very often, we make an effort and see no action?  How should we pack a forceful punch to create powerful action? I am a true fan of melodramatic envisioned success, it plays in front of my eyes as I sit motionless in my living room.  The story of someone somewhere noticing my immense talents, rewarding the same with grand success as a world-famous Coach. I am not sure if this is the aftermath of reading Bollywood magazines at the age of 10, when all my peers were busy finding the countries and their capitals on the globe, or if it is a result of being left to grow inside the secure blanket of my parent’s teachings, which come in the form of action.  They are powerful doers, say it not, do it! if you must speak about your accomplishments, chances are no one noticed.  Another truth that is enlightening to me, people are very parsimonious about praise, they want to bestow it w

Conscious Evolution

Sometimes I am unaware on where to begin creating the action that my mind has formulated.  Channeling a thought into action takes work.  We are all plagued by Gremlins that prevent us from acting, so how do we solve for this dilemma? After carefully marinating in my inaction, and preparing for meaningfully forwarding my actions, I have found a formula that works for me. I am delighted to share it with you in the hope that you too may gain from it, even if just a little bit. Anytime I get stuck going forward, I reverse my thought pattern and thereby the resulting actions. I plan my present actions and associated next steps to fit into the story yet to unfold, a story that is to become my future even though to some, little may be known about how carefully painted it shall be by the master of my canvas, Me.  If this attribute becomes something we can all dabble with, it may actually create a wave of conscious thought action paradigm to allow for purposeful action, in quest for optimal f

An interesting business from the roof with a view

As I drive to the city, I remain impressed with the human ability to thrive in the paltriest of conditions; Mumbai is probably one of the few places in the world where these situations are freely available.    One such situation piqued my interest, and ruffled my thoughts. As I was in a car admiring the intricacies of old Mumbai, I notice a shop that sold plastic tarps.   A small space with barely any room to breathe, it is made from a small opening in the wall, a small shelf to present some finished plastic products.   Looking at this space and picturing myself in it, I am claustrophobic, and take a deep breath.   As I exhale, and slump in my seat, my attention is drawn upwards towards the roof of the shop.   The roof is made of two thin sheets of aluminum reinforced together to create strength that is capable of withstanding rain and providing a cover that caps the shop.   On this roof, to my utter surprise are two plastic chairs side by side with a table in the centre where two sl
